Andrew first came to Asia in 1990 after receiving his MBA in International Finance from New York University Stern School of Management. Before completing the MBA, Andrew attained a BA in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations from the prestigious Northwestern University . He gained extensive senior sales and management experience in Taipei, Hong Kong, Kyoto and New York with leading financial institutions such as WI Carr (later Banque IndoSuez) and Bank Paribas, with a focus in international investment banking – with a specialty in Greater China markets.

More recently Andrew has spent over four years as an independent management consultant and writer in Shanghai, working with both local and multinational corporations on improving their sales, marketing and negotiation skills, with his work particularly focused on international marketing and investor relations. He also regularly lectures on sales, marketing, management and finance topics at various Shanghai business schools, and is a regular lecturer on the MBA program at the University of Strathclyde in Shanghai.
